Greg Roensch writes flash fiction and poetry, makes poetry-films, and writes and records original songs. His writing has appeared in Dream Noir, 365 Tomorrows, Bright Flash Literary Review, ScribeWorth, Defiant Scribe, and elsewhere. His poetry-films have screened at the Ó Bhéal Poetry-Film Competition, the Maldito Festival de Videopoesia, the Bloomsday Film Festival, and other festivals worldwide.
Greg’s music doesn’t easily fall into any one genre—and that’s how he likes it. As one reviewer put it, Greg’s music “inspires one to think and sing along, maybe not out loud, but inward, in our own holy chorus, one where our inner angels and demons sing together in raptured disharmony.” Greg’s songwriting and storytelling are on full display on his most recent release, “Down at the Polystereophonic Dive Bar,” an album that takes listeners on a journey through an assortment of songs that are sometimes funny and sometimes as serious as the end of the world.
After working for 15 years as a writer at Electronic Arts, Greg left EA to start his own editorial business (Six String Communications). In 2020, he returned to EA as a consultant to lead the EA Story project, a chronicle and celebration of the company’s forty-plus year history.
